“He heals the brokenhearted, and binds up their wounds.” Psalm 147:3

Do you prefer thinking, doing, or talking?

Usually, the ladies answer this question with “talking” and the guys answer with “doing.”

Today as you read Psalm 147 you’ll find all kinds of verbs describing the activity of God and His power.

Look at the following verses:

Verse 2: the Lord builds

Verse 3: He heals

Verse 4: He determines

Verse 6: The Lord sustains

Verse 9: He provides

Verse 11: The Lord delights

Verse 13: He strengthens

Verse 14: He grants

Verse 15: He sends

Verse 16: He spreads

Verse 19: He reveals His Word

I’m so encouraged by Psalm 147:3 “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”

How amazing to know we serve a loving and compassionate God who calls us by name and has the power to heal.

Do you need your heart healed today? Do you know someone who needs his or her heart encouraged?

I need the Lord’s healing touch on a daily basis. How about you?

Each morning I search for the healing to come as I seek God through reading His Word.

After the passing of my Dad last October, my heart needed a deep healing touch from God.  I discovered the more I would read and seek His counsel and comfort, the more healing and encouragement I received. God is truly the Great Physician, Jehovah Rapha.

Is there any area in your life that needs a special touch and healing from God?

Take time today to reach out in prayer to the God who heals.

Step away from the world and all of its confusion and conflict for a few moments. Turn off your cell phone, computer, and TV and sit quietly alone with God. As you read His Word and seek His presence, ask Him to speak to your heart.

If you seek Him with all of your heart, mind, soul and strength He will reveal Himself to you as you listen and obey.

Jeremiah 17:14 “Heal me, O LORD; and I will be healed; save me and I will be saved, for Thou art my praise.”

2 Kings 20:5 “Thus says the LORD, the God of your father David, “I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; behold, I will heal you.”

Jeremiah 30: 17 “For I will restore you to health and I will heal you of your wounds.”
