“May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope, encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word.” 2 Thessalonians 2:16-17
Let’s start the New Year with a fresh new word from God.
Could you use some encouragement?
God is the only One who can give us eternal encouragement.
As we step into 2014 let’s pray for the Lord to go before us and guide our hearts and our steps.
Now is a great time not only to be encouraged by God’s Word ourselves but also to use our words to encourage others.
Today as we begin a fresh New Year let’s put the past behind us and look forward into the New Year.
May I suggest you begin the New Year reading through the entire Bible (just two to three chapters a day) and spend a few moments each day in prayer.
The Word of God will change your life and praying to Jesus Christ will grow your faith.
God’s words are flawless (Psalm 12:6, 18:30)
God’s words will bring hope (Psalm 119: 114)
God’s words bring direction (Psalm 119: 105, 133 and Proverbs 3:5-6)
God’s words bring healing (1 Peter 2: 24)
God’s words give joy (Nehemiah 8:10)
And so much more!
Thank you Lord, for the forgiveness of our sins and the assurance of life eternal with You in heaven. Help us to start fresh this year in the courage to live with You in our hearts and minds with hope, joy and encouragement.
Here we go! It’s going to be a great New Year!
