“I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints.” Ephesians 1:18
How do you look at things? Do you have the right perspective?
When Goliath came against the Israelites, the soldiers all thought, “He’s so big we can never kill him.”
David looked at the same giant and thought, “He’s so big I can’t miss.”
What giant are you facing today?
The Holy Spirit enables you to change your perspective. You can choose to creatively look at everything with God’s perspective. You can ask God to enable the power of the Holy Spirit to help you see EVERYTHING with God’s eyes.
A shoe manufacturer who decided to open a Congo market sent two salesmen to the undeveloped territory. One salesman sent a message back:“Prospect here nil. No one wears shoes.” The other salesman reported enthusiastically, “Market potential terrific! Everyone is barefooted.”
Which salesman describes your perspective on life?
Whether you are a strong believer or an atheist, God sees you and loves you! God created you! When God sees you, He sees your potential from His perspective.
Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord!
I’m praying for each one of you right now to genuinely seek the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior and ask Him to open the eyes of your heart.
Here’s a simple prayer I prayed years ago at the end of a Christian concert. I made the conscience decision to embrace Jesus Christ as my Savior after I heard the testimony of the Christian. God opened the eyes of my heart that day and my life has never been the same.
Dear Lord,
Forgive me. All these years I thought I knew what it meant to be a Christian. I was trying really hard to be good. But I failed. No wonder I felt so empty inside. Now I understand. The emptiness I was experiencing was very real. I didn’t have you in my life. Forgive me for thinking I could do everything on my own. I need you Lord. Forgive me for my ugly sin and come into my life. I’m a mess. They tell me you specialize in cleaning up messy people. I’m thankful.
Thank you for dying for me and saving me from hell. I didn’t even realize I was going. I was such a fool. I didn’t know anything. I didn’t know good people without Jesus in their empty hearts can go to hell. Thank you for opening the eyes of my heart to the reality that I need saved. I feel so loved. Life wasn’t easy for you Jesus and it won’t be easy for me either. Help me overcome my fear of rejection from others. Help me change my worldly perspective to yours. Move me. Change me. Mold me into the person you created me to be. I finally understand your name means salvation. In the saving name of Jesus. Amen!
Now it’s your turn.
Give God your whole heart. Every part. Don’t hold back. Give God Everything. Open the eyes of your heart to God’s perspective. It will be the best Valentines Day of your life.
