“If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me.” Jeremiah 29:13
“Give to the Lord the glory he deserves! Bring your offering and come into his presence.Worship the Lord in all his holy splendor.” 1 Chronicles 16:29
Darlene Zschech is one of my favorite Worship Leaders. She wrote the familiar worship song “Shout to the Lord”. She shared her thoughts on wholehearted worship,”Worship, at every level, begins and ends with God as the priority-God showing us the Father’s heart of love for us, God counseling, comforting, and guiding us through the voice of the precious Holy Spirit and God in the person of Jesus Christ who is our Mediator and Way-Maker into the throne room of heaven. ”
“For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those
whose hearts are fully committed to him.” 2 Chronicles 16:9
Sometimes you and I carelessly offer the Lord a half-hearted, lukewarm praise and worship. He deserves our wholehearted worship. Webster’s Dictionary defines wholehearted as: to be completely and sincerely devoted. We need to be enthusiastic and excited about our worship. God desires for us to worship with a genuine and sincere heart. Our true worship will bring us into the Presence of God and give Him all the Glory He deserves.
“Without worship, we go about miserable.” A.W. Tozer
Dear Lord,
Praise you Lord and Creator of the Universe. Help me worship you wholeheartedly. The world pressures me into thinking I don’t have time for you or that I can just show up carelessly with a half-hearted worship and lukewarm faith. I know the world is wrong. Forgive me for being influenced by man instead of You. Today, I will worship You with all of my heart, soul and mind. Help me to be faithful as You are always faithful. Amen!
